About the Mattress
Our sofa bed mattresses are made with 100% natural latex over ISleepEZ future foam. The perfect mattress for your hide-a-bed with 2″ of natural latex. Retains its shape longer than regular polyfoam sofa mattress. Each mattress comes with a removable zipper cover made from combination stretch/damask material. If you need custom size we can do it with modest 10% upcharge. We carry a single, twin, twin wide, full, full wide, queen and queen wide.
Latex mattresses require a solid and sturdy foundation with no springs. This can include slatted wood foundations, with the slats less than 3′ apart, and platform bases.
Accessories
Platform Bed Frame – Platform bed frames come in a variety of styles, and they either feature horizontal slats (think planks, usually wooden) or a solid platform for the mattress to rest on.
Slatted Bed Frame – A slatted bed frame is another way of saying platform frame and gets its name from the characteristic horizontal slats that support the mattress.
Slats – Slats are the planks that are usually placed horizontally on a slatted or platform frame. Their purpose is to support the mattress and their function is analogous to that of a box spring.
Solid Foundation – A solid foundation provides the support of a platform frame or slats, though it looks very much like a box spring and is used the same way: metal frame + solid foundation + mattress. Most modern box springs are solid or slatted foundations.
We carry slatted platforms. 1 x 3 apart every 2 ¾ inches from US box springs. They hold
up to 1000 lbs. The low profile is 5” or standard which is 8”.
We also offer several styles of adjustable beds from both Reverie and Leggett and Platt.
Care
Do not machine wash or dry the cover. We recommend you spot clean with a soft brush and mild detergent. Allow to air dry completely.
Latex foam has a very durable cell structure, and is much more resilient compared to that of most other foams. It will not break-down in areas of repeated use like poly or memory foam will, therefore latex does not need to be flipped or rotated.
